Message from the Instructor…

Hello parents of young artists. I have been a professional graphic artist for 27 years. Needless to say, I LOVE art! I have taught dozens of high school and college age students graphic arts in one-on-one and small group settings. I also LOVE to teach!

I have a son currently enrolled in a wonderful school in Garner, NC. It is a Montessori and Hybrid model (part-time home, part-time at school). There is a focus on individual learning style and developing individual responsibility in the students. Parent involvement is welcomed. I believe in these principles of education and want to make it more available for families.

My teaching style involves short lectures and demonstrations followed by lots of hands-on learning. Students will have “project time” supervised during class and they will be expected to complete projects in their own time at home. They will not only learn about graphic art and all the fun that it is. They will also learn what it means to complete communication art projects as a professional would.
